NUS’ Digital Media Literacy Programme
SPH Foundation sponsored NUS’ Digital Media Literacy Programme for the first time in 2026. The initiative originated as a ground-up effort by student volunteers from NUS Department of Communications and New Media (CNM) and the CNM Student Society. It aims to promote responsible, informed, and confident use of digital media among underprivileged youths aged 8 to 16 in Singapore. Children from charities such as Suncare SG, Allkin and Morning Star Community Services were engaged by the volunteers with activities ranging from unique presentations to quizzes and games.
This programme, which is aligned with SPH Foundation’s charitable objectives of promoting lifelong learning and fostering community spirit, is expected to engage approximately 200 youths in a year.
